CONCORD, N.C. – Following two optional test sessions on Thursday, the NASCAR Xfinity Series got their first official crack at the new Charlotte Motor Speedway road course with a pair of practices on Friday afternoon.

The results from Friday closely mirrored those from Thursday as Austin Cindric was fast again, putting up the quickest lap time in the first practice session with a lap of 1 minute, 18.443 seconds at 104.636 mph. He was followed by Daniel Hemric, Alex Labbe, Ryan Preece, and Justin Allgaier to round out the top-five fastest times.

Xfinity Series Playoff drivers made up eight of the top-11 positions in practice, with Elliott Sadler, Ross Chastain, Ryan Reed, and Brandon Jones being the only Playoff drivers that found themselves further down the leaderboard when the red and black flags were displayed.

Final practice saw Hemric, who announced his move to the Cup Series in 2019 with Richard Childress Racing in between the two practices, move to the top of the speed chart with a lap of 1 minute, 18.197 seconds at 104.966 mph.

Hemric was followed by Ryan Truex, Cole Custer, Ty Majeski, and Allgaier for the fastest times in the session.

All but one of the Playoff drivers participated in final practice, with Christopher Bell electing to sit out of the session.

Next up for the Xfinity Series is qualifying at 12:10 pm Eastern Saturday, followed by the 55-lap Drive for the Cure 200 at 3:00 pm.
