Monster Energy Supercross Full 2021 Schedule Unveiled

By Joey Barnes, Editor-in-Chief

Feld Entertainment, Inc. has officially released the first full 17-round schedule for the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.

Among the immediate notable changes is the removal of the tripleheader at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, which were originally set for February 20, 23 and 27 (rounds 7-9). Although the series has been a fixture in the Grand Canyon State since 1999, the current restrictions to attendance, along with health and safety protocols in place due to COVID-19, was too challenging to remain on the schedule.

The adjustment puts two races at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on February 13 and 20. Supercross competed in Orlando from 1983-2007, with 13 450SX races and 11 250SX contested over that span.

The annual crown jewel event at Daytona International Speedway will follow on March 6.

The tripleheader at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas remains unchanged, with those rounds taking place March 13, 16 and 20.

One of the more unique additions to the calendar features a trip to Atlanta Motor Speedway for rounds 13-15. The tripleheader will be a first for the Atlanta market, which is set for April 10, 13 and 17.

Another change due to the impact of Arizona’s removal was an additional round at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, which will carry the final two events of season on April 24 and May 1.

Each of the 17 rounds will be run in a standard race format. Any Triple Crown events are off the table until 2022.
