IndyCar has released a statement on the condition of rookie Sage Karam, who was transported via ground after crashing out of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Karam was leading with 20 laps to go when the car and hit the wall on the exit of Turn 1, showering the track with debris, with a piece striking Justin Wilson’s helmet in the same accident. IndyCar has announced a further update on the condition of driver Justin Wilson following a crash on lap 180 of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Wilson is in a coma and suffered a severe head injury. He is currently undergoing evaluation at the Leigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania and is listed in critical condition.
