Sheldon Creed Tag

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer  Even though Michael Self is competing part-time in the ARCA Racing Series, he continues to finish well. After a disappointing day at Charlotte Motor Speedway two weeks ago, Self rebounded in the Zomongo 200 presented by Drydene. On the final restart, Self’s No. 15 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota Camry was one of just nine cars left on the lead lap. Despite that fact, the Park City, UT native did not have the speed to keep up with Sheldon Creed and Riley Herbst. Self had to defendRead More

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer  After a brutal crash at Talladega Superspeedway three weeks ago, Chase Purdy rebounded with a career-best finish at Toledo Speedway. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver was still nursing a bulged disk in his back while competing in the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at the 0.500-mile oval. What to Watch for at Talladega

By Brian Eberly, Contributing Writer The ARCA Racing Series goes from one of the shortest tracks on the schedule to the largest as the series hits Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for race No. 4 of the 2018 season. After an extremely chaotic race in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, this event is sure to be another thriller, but hopefully with a bit less mangled sheet metal when all is said and done on Friday. The Track Talladega Superspeedway is a 2.66-mile tri-oval with 33 degrees of banking in theRead More

Eckes, in the No. 15 JBL Audio Toyota for Venturini Motorsports, first fought off Zane Smith, then held back the non-stop hard charge from Chandler Smith to win the 103rd running of the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200. “I can’t believe this…I really can’t,” saidRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer Despite a host of late-race carnage, Michael Self started the ARCA Racing Series season off the same way he ended 2017 – in victory lane. Self survived two late pileups to win Saturday’s Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona International Speedway. The Park City, Utah native took the lead after the first attempt at a one-lap shootout on lap 87 went haywire in Turn 3. The top four of Sean Corr, Sheldon Creed, Chase Purdy and Travis Braden ran side-by-side, bumper-to-bumper inRead More
