Exhibit honoring Michael Schumacher opens in Germany

By Adam Tate, Managing Editor

20 years ago, Michael Schumacher was already a two time Formula One world drivers’ champion. Yet he was just beginning the greatest chapter in his career at the dawn of his relationship with Scuderia Ferrari.

Today he remains at home, surrounded by family and friends on the long road of recovery after a tragic skiing accident in late 2013 sidelined him with severe head trauma.

The Exhibition, open to the public for the next two years is being put on by Deutsche Vermögensberatung in the city of Marburg.

Deutsche Vermögensberatung, or DVAG is a financial and marketing group from Frankfurt that has long been a sponsor of Schumacher and his career. The firm still continuing their contract with the Schumacher family has dubbed the exhibit, “Michael Schumacher Record-holding World Champion 20 Years of Partnership with Deutsche Vermögensberatung.”

It will contain many of Schumacher’s former race cars as well as other artifacts from his career, including some from private collectors that will be on display to the public for the first time. Schumacher’s wife Corinna and two children Gina and Mick opened the exhibit in a ceremony last night with special guests.
