Another entry for the Month of May has been confirmed as JR Hildebrand will complete and All-American lineup for Ed Carpenter Racing.
The team also announced that Preferred Freezer Services will return as Hildebrand’s sponsor for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis and the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
Hildebrand, 28, has not raced competed a full season in IndyCar since 2012 and has since ran a few one off deals for Bryan Herta Autosport as well as Ed Carpenter Racing. He finished 10th in 2014 and eighth in 2015 and was running in the top 5 at the GP of Indy until mechanical issues sidelined him.
“I’m really glad we were able to put everything together at ECR to continue our program with Preferred Freezer,” commented Hildebrand. “Especially going into this year’s 100th Running of the 500, you know everyone is bringing their absolute best to the fight. After the experience I’ve had over the last two years with this team, I know that we’re going to be bringing a race-winning effort ourselves. I’m looking forward to working with Ed and Josef again and putting the PFS entries up front throughout May!”
PFS will also serve as the primary sponsor of Josef Newgarden at Toronto and Boston as well as an associate sponsor for the balance of the season.
