Red Bull Racing Launches 2017 F1 Car

By Joey Barnes, Editor-in-Chief

A tripleheader of launches on Sunday kicked off with Red Bull Racing officially showcasing its 2017 Formula 1 challenger – the RB13.

The Milton Keynes-based team has put a hit out on Mercedes with its latest creation, having shown an aggressive design that features a sharkfin, common on every team’s new car minus Mercedes (although they are still debating the T-wing concept and sharkfin). However, what makes the RB13 unique is the slot opening in the tip of the nose.

The Christian Horner-led squad took to social media to reveal its latest challenger:

Sporting a Renault power unit – which will be badged as TAG Heuer due to sponsorship commitments – Red Bull Racing has noted that it’s producing more than 900hp.

The team recently announced a partnership with ExxonMobil as its fuel and lubricant supplier, different from the Renault factory squad, which will use BP and Castrol.

With one of the most exciting duo’s in Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing were the only team opposite Mercedes to capture wins in 2016 en route to finishing second among all constructors and are aiming to go one position better this season.
