Stefan Parsons is set to make his team debut with JD Motorsports with Gary Keller as he’ll pilot the No. 15 Chevrolet Camaro in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway November 2.
Texas will mark the 21-year-old’s sixth NASCAR Xfinity Series start with all of his races being in the No. 99 Toyota Supra owned by B.J. McLeod, who also runs for the Johnny Davis owned race team and will be in the No. 4 Camaro Saturday.
Parsons said he’s thankful of having the chance to run for the multi-car team and hopes to come out of Texas with a positive run.
“I’m really thankful to Johnny Davis and everybody involved with JD Motorsports with Gary Keller for giving me the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the No. 15 Chevrolet this weekend,” Parsons said. “Johnny and his team have come a long way in a short span of time, and I am eager to see what we can do at Texas. Hopefully, we are able to close out the season on a strong note.”
Parsons’ best finish was his series debut at Daytona International Speedway in July where he finished 12th.
After 30 races, the No. 15 team currently sits 25th in owner points with McLeod driving in 22 of those races. McLeod also scored the car’s best result at Dover this past month, finishing 16th.
Saturday’s Xfinity race will air live on NBCSN at 8:30 pm EST. The race is 200 laps.
