Billy Johnson and Jonathan Bomarito have been tapped to complete Ford’s lineup in the FIA World Endurance Championship 1000 Miles of Sebring event on March 15th at Sebring International Raceway.
Johnson has driven part-time in the last three seasons of the FIAWEC for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing and will return to the No. 66 Ford GT for the FIAWEC race. Johnson will co-drive with Stefan Mucke and Olivier Pla.
Bomarito drives in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for Mazda Team Joest and has not raced the Ford GT yet. The American’s debut will come in car No. 67 with Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell. After racing on Friday, Bomarito and Tincknell will race for Mazda Team Joest in the No. 55 RT24-P DPi entry on Saturday, pulling double duty at Sebring.
The Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts is scheduled for March 16th. It is the second round of the IMSA WSCC and the second round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup.
