LONG BEACH, Calif. – California Pizza Kitchen will support Townsend Bell’s efforts with Andretti Autosport in the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

This will be the first time that the Beverly Hills based restaurant chain will serve as a sponsor in motorsport.

“Being a California native, I cannot think of a better fit than California Pizza Kitchen to join our team for the 100th Running of the Indy 500,” said Bell. “It’s awesome to represent a brand that I grew up with here. I love the fact that you can enjoy artisanal California cuisine all across the U.S. thanks to CPK.”

“I think the fact that California has always had such a strong tradition in Indianapolis with so many drivers being from here, several teams started here, race cars were built here, Dan Gurney, for instance, just down the road in Orange County with All-American Racers, so Southern California has always had a presence, but for a California driver to go to the biggest race in the world with some California brands, including Robert Graham that started in Abbot Kinney in Venice just up the road, CPK in Beverly Hills, it’s pretty awesome.”

Bell’s longtime sponsor Robert Graham will also serve as an associate sponsor.
