Honda’s saving grace

This past weekend at the Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis for the Verizon IndyCar Series, we saw Chevrolet cars dominate practice, dominate qualifying and take a convincing win. Aside from the rain-drenched non-race at NOLA, that’s pretty much been the story of the season thus far. Indications are that Honda will close the gap on the oval track events, but that doesn’t change the fact that there are five more street or road courses remaining on the schedule. Some of the Honda drivers have been more vocal than othersRead More

Her #29 TE Connectivity Honda/Dallara started trailing smoke as she was leaving the pit road warm up lane in turn 2. The smoke soon erupted into a fire and she coasted to stop in turn 3 and climbed from the car unharmed. The defending World Champion stumbled at the start and had to use a combination of pit strategy and pace to overtake Vettel for the runner-up spot on the podium, ultimately finishing over 17s behind Rosberg. Johnson, who is pursuing a record-tying seventh NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship this season, held off Kevin Harvick over the final six laps to win Sunday morning’s SpongeBob SquarePants 400 at Kansas Speedway. Johnson’s victory – which was recorded just after midnight local time because of a delay of 2 hours andRead More
Recent announcements have confirmed that Formula One will return to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya until 2019 after organizers agreed to a contract extension with Bernie Ecclestone. In the new deal the Spanish Grand Prix will follow the Malaysian GrandRead More

The race was slowed on on the first lap for the second straight year as second place starter Scott Dixon was spun by Helio Castroneves in turn one while Josef Newgarden and Jack Hawksworth spun further back in the field.Read More
Indianapolis, Ind. – Sean Rayhall scored an emotional and well-deserved victory for 8Star Motorsports in today’s Mazda Grand Prix of Indianapolis Presented by Cooper Tires on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 2.439-mile Grand Prix road course. Rayhall, 20, from Winston, Ga., grasped the lead at the start of Round Seven of Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires and held on to win despite almost race-long pressure from yesterday’s winner and 2014 Indy Lights championship runner-up Jack Harvey.   Unfortunately for Harvey, a mechanical problem on the final lap dropped him toRead More
