INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Saturday night, Cunningham Motorsports will celebrate their first ARCA Racing Series championship at the awards banquet in the Sagamore Ballroom at the Indiana Convention Center. The team’s No. 77 Ford with driver Chase Briscoe earned six wins and 14 top-five finishes to win the title by a commanding margin.

On Saturday afternoon, the team enhanced their chances at earning back-to-back titles by becoming a driver development partner with Ford Performance. The announcement was made by Jeff Clark,  Vice President of Sales for Roush Yates Engines, at a press conference as part of the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show.

“Ford Performance recognizes the championship caliber teams that Cunningham Motorsports delivers on track,” said Clark. Ford Performance will support their teams with assets within the Ford Performance Technical Center in Concord, N.C. We look forward to another strong year in the ARCA Racing Series.”

In addition to Briscoe’s six victories in the No. 77 car, Cunningham Motorsports earned three more victories with the team’s No. 22 Ford. The car saw 10 different drivers wheel the No. 22 this past season, going to victory lane with Myatt Snider, Parker Kligerman and Austin Cindric.

The team also announced that Dalton Sargeant would pilot the No. 77 in 2017 as the team seeks to repeat their championship performance.
