Ferrari Launch 2017 Formula 1 Challenger – the SF70H

By Joey Barnes, Editor-in-Chief

Ferrari took the covers off their 2017 contender, labeled the SF70H, via an online stream ahead of filming day in Italy.

The 63rd single-seater crafted by the Scuderia is the latest to be launched among the Formula 1 teams. A sharkfin, which comes with the addition of the T-wing at the top, can be seen in white, but the remainder of the livery returns to the iconic Rosso Corsa.

What stands out about the bodywork is the sidepods – which Ferrari have gone with a wide and thin setup high behind the front wheels. Although the regulations call for higher rake angles on all cars – the altitude created by raising rear ride height in relation to the front – the aggressiveness that Ferrari went with the high rake angle of the car is staggering.

Coming off of a rare winless effort in 2016, the expectations put on the SF70H will be that of immediate success.
