SAN DIEGO – A monumental moment in motorsports history was made in San Diego as NASCAR ran a race weekend on an active military base. A feat that has been praised with the Cup Series competing in the Anduril 250 at Qualcomm Circuit in Naval Base Coronado.

The hype and pageantry was apparent with a strong crowd on hand that were either first-time race attendees or race fans who wanted to be a part of something special. More so when the grand picture of it all surrounded us with the Navy making its presence known and were onboard for this special race weekend.

In the end, people witnessed history across the board with a first-time Cup winner to cap off a historic weekend.

Corey Heim won in his 13th career start and brought the No. 67, mainly associated with journeyman Buddy Arrington for several decades, its first win in Cup history.

As always, I provide you the latest installment of “Race In Pictures” that showcase what happened in the 75-lap race with tremendous picturesque spots.
