Honda at front after session one

Honda teams pulled a 1-2-3-4 sweep of the top spots in the opening session of aero kit testing led by Justin Wilson in his debut drive for Andretti Autosport.

Wilson laid down a flying lap of 40.1806s (223.989 mph) late in the one hour 30 minute session followed by AJ Foyt Racing’s Takuma Sato followed at 40.3310 (223.153mph).

Ryan Hunter-Reay and Marco Andretti made it three Andretti Autosport cars in the top five with the third (40.3605s) and fourth quickest times (40.3876s) while Tony Kanaan carried the flag for Chevrolet in fifth place.

Seventeen cars took laps in the session, no major incidents were reported.
