Honda debuts superspeedway aerokit

Today Honda gave the world its first look at its new Superpeedway aerokit design. With victory at Indianapolis HPD’s primary goal for 2015, Honda powered outfits are hoping this sleek new design with its unique rear wing treatment will help them claw back the advantage the Chevrolet teams have enjoyed so far in 2015.

We’re excited to unveil our superspeedway aero kit, the newest element in this era of enhanced manufacturer competition in the Verizon IndyCar Series. Coupled to our proven Honda Indy V-6 engines, these aero kits are the products of thousands of hours of research, development and testing, as we seek to give our drivers and teams the tools they need to win the race that Honda holds as its most important goal each season: the Indianapolis 500.

– HPD president Art St. Cyr

Chevrolet has yet to unveil their kit, but both will hit the track for the first time this Sunday, May 3rd at Indianapolis as IndyCar begins preparations for the 99th running of the greatest spectacle in racing.
