PORTLAND – The eighth race of the ARCA Menards Series West season commenced Friday at Portland International Raceway with 18 cars competing in tame yet compelling 57-lap race.

With only a single set of tires to compete the entire race, the drivers had to overcome that challenge and leave Oregon in one piece. In the end, it was NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie William Sawalich who defended his victory from a year ago with another Portland 112 win to his name. The winning move took place with four laps remaining when he moved Thomas Annunziata out of the way to regain the lead he lost several laps before.
