Following the online launch of the SF70H, Kimi Raikkonen was given the pleasure of shaking down Ferrari’s newest creation at Fiorano.
The revealing of the car was also used as one of the team’s filming days, similar to what Mercedes did on Thursday when they launched the W08.
The 37-year-old Finn wasn’t pushing the pace, but added that today was just the beginning.
“Obviously we didn’t go full speed, it’s the install lap and the very first lap with the new car so it all felt okay,” said Raikkonen.
“It’s just the first touch, we get some more today, but the main work starts when we go testing in Barcelona. But so far so good and we’ll go from there.”
Both Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel split the allowed 100km evenly, although rain delayed Vettel’s run until the afternoon.

Next up are two pre-season test sessions at Barcelona’s Catalunya Circuit, which begin on Monday. Each session will run for four days and the team confirmed Vettel will drive Monday and Wednesday, with Raikkonen piloting the car Tuesday and Thursday. The second test will begin March 7.
