Lucas Kohl signs with John Cumminsky Racing

BROWNSBURG, Ind. – John Cummiskey Racing is pleased to announce that Lucas Kohl will drive their number 34 (Bellko Trading) car for the 2016 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.

In 2015, Kohl competed in karting in his native Brazil and won a state Super Kart championship before racing in the National Brazilian Karting Championship. Kohl won the 2014 Formula Junior championship winning eight out of 16 races.

“I’m very excited to work with John Cummiskey Racing,” said Kohl. “He is well known for his dedication to the team and attention to every detail. The team has Louis D’Agostino, a very dedicated and smart engineer who has helped many youngsters in their careers. Roberto Moreno, an experienced F1 and IndyCar driver, will also be helping me to catch up with the knowledge that I will need in my first year of racing in the U.S. I’m confident that together we will strive to perform at the top level and achieve good results in this very competitive championship. I want to thank the team for the chance to race with them on the Mazda Road to Indy.”

The 2016 USF2000 season kicks off with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on the Streets of St. Petersburg, Florida during the weekend of March 11th through 13th.
