By Luis Torres, Staff Writer Motorsports has its share of stories, especially when it unites two different families coast-to-coast during difficult time periods and raising awareness for autism. For one weekend at Auto Club Speedway, that was the case for the Lombard family from Simi Valley, California and Ryan Sieg Racing from Georgia. The two families partnered up, as Sieg’s No. 39 Chevrolet Camaro had Lombard Bros. Gaming, a three-year-old gaming company owned by brothers Joseph and Zachary aka “N2SC4R” and “MAGNUM05” on YouTube, became his primary sponsor in the

By Matt Tifft, Driver Columnist Editor’s note: Matt Tifft, driver of the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, shares his 2018 campaign with Motorsports Tribune as he aims for a shot at the championship. The #NASCARGoesWest swing is challenging for everybody. Logistically, having three cars ready to go in advance so that they can be traded out and worked on in hotel parking lots is no easy feat for the teams. For drivers, we have to figure out what works best for us to be

By NASCAR Wire Service FONTANA, Calif. – The best measure of Joey Logano’s dominance in Saturday’s Roseanne 300 at Auto Club Speedway came during one of the rare instances when the driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford didn’t have the lead. Off-cycle on pit stops late in the race, Logano chose to pit under caution on Lap 122 while most of the other contending cars stayed out on tires that had only six green-flag laps of use. Logano restarted 16th on Lap 125. By Lap 126 he was

By David Morgan, NASCAR Editor While the race win in Saturday’s Roseanne 300 at Auto Club Speedway went to a Cup Series driver for the fourth time this season, the NASCAR Xfinity Series regulars were well represented in the top-five as JR Motorsports drivers Justin Allgaier and Elliott Sadler brought home finishes of second and third, respectively. After winning the championship last season, JR Motorsports has been leading the way through the early part of the 2018 season and Saturday’s race was just another example of their position as the

By Luis Torres, Staff Writer Quiet consistency often times goes unnoticed in NASCAR, but for the second time this season, JD Motorsports driver Ross Chastain finished in the top-10, already matching his total from 2017. Chastain brought his No. 4 Daley Technology Systems Chevrolet home in 10th during Saturday’s Roseanne 300 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Chastain’s performance marked his ninth-career NASCAR Xfinity Series top-10 and only the fifth time he’s accomplished this feat outside of Daytona International Speedway, where he finished ninth last month. Chastain showed pace

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer After earning a top-10, there was no need to knock off the rust for Joe Gibbs Racing’s Ryan Preece. Preece made his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start of the 2018 season in the Rosanne 300 at Auto Club Speedway. The road to a ninth-place finish was a rocky one however. In the final run to the finish, Preece had to climb his way up through the field in the No. 18 Rheem Toyota Camry. While battling Cole Custer for fifth, Preece slid off turn two.

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer For the first time in 2018, Ryan Preece will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Auto Club Speedway. Preece will be behind the wheel of Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 Rheem Toyota Camry for the Rosanne 300. Preece hedged his bet on a two-race deal JGR last year, finishing runner-up at New Hampshire and then winning at Iowa Speedway. Those runs turned two races into four in 2017, and now 10 races in 2018. In those four races last year, Preece scored four top-five
