FORT WORTH, Texas — Spencer Gallagher recorded his second Keystone Light Pole position in the last six races Friday at Texas Motor Speedway. The pole position continues the positive trend for the GMS Racing team in the Camping World Truck Series in recent weeks.
Gallagher has already tied or surpassed his career-high marks in top-fives, top-10s, laps led and pole positions this season.
In addition to Gallagher’s turn around, Johnny Sauter won last week at Martinsville ensuring that the GMS Racing team will have at least one truck battling for a championship in Homestead. The week before in Talladega, Grant Enfinger won in GMS equipment. Ben Kennedy is also still alive in the Chase for the team.
Gallagher isn’t in the championship hunt, but he finished second to Enfinger a couple of weeks ago at Talladega, and he is still searching for his first-career win.
Daniel Hemric posted the second fastest time in the final round of qualifying, and William Byron will be the highest-starting Chase competitor in third.
Matt Tifft and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top-five qualifiers for Friday night’s Striping Technology 350 at Texas.
Tommy Regan, Mike Harmon and Ryan Ellis all failed to make the field for this race.
Here is where all of the Chase Competitors will start:
3. William Byron
6. Timothy Peters
7. Matt Crafton
9. Christopher Bell
14. Ben Kennedy
16. Johnny Sauter
