By Luis Torres, Staff Writer The final race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season was held at Phoenix Raceway for the fifth straight year last Sunday. Ryan Blaney was looking to retain the championship, but had to deal with his Team Penske teammate Joey Logano, William Byron, and Championship 4 debutant Tyler Reddick. The finale was also noteworthy for being pole sitter and 2017 Cup Series champion Martin Truex, Jr.’s swan song as a full-time competitor, and the final race for Stewart-Haas Racing before they closed doors after the 312-lapRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer The final race of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season was held at Phoenix Raceway for the fifth straight year last Saturday. Cole Custer was looking to retain the championship, but had to deal with Justin Allgaier, AJ Allmendinger, and Austin Hill, who were all each going for their first title. As much as the championship battle was spotlighted, it was Riley Herbst who stole the show by winning the finale to cap off Stewart-Haas Racing’s NXS program. Behind Herbst was Allgaier, who was finally theRead More

Christian Eckes, Grant Enfinger, Corey Heim, and Ty Majeski were all looking for their first series title during the Championship 4 round. For much of the 150-lap race, it was Majeski who was the class of the field and ended up capturing his the championship. A moment the racer out of Wisconsin will never forget after all the trails and tribulations he’s facedRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer Lumen Field was the host of the 11th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship in Seattle. Despite the circuit being muddy due to rain throughout the week, the 58,000 fans in attendance witnessed two memorable main events in the 250SX West and 450SX categories. More importantly, no rain affecting the event but it still made for a challenging day for every rider. In those demanding races, Washington’s Levi Kitchen dominated the 250SX West competition for his first non-triple crown victory while Cooper Webb andRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer NASCAR’s 75th Anniversary kicked off with some fireworks as the Cup Series returned to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum last Sunday. From music entertainment to a plethora of bumper-to-bumper madness, fans who attended the event saw one memorable show. Once the madness ended, it was Martin Truex, Jr. who left Southern California victorious. I was able to shoot photos of the event and proud to share my works. Without further ado, here’s the return of “In Pictures.”Read More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer The future is indeed now in the NASCAR Cup Series. Not because it’s the first-ever regular season race with the current car (known as NextGen), but it also saw another first-time winner in the Daytona 500. In just his eighth career Cup start, Austin Cindric brought Team Penske its third win in “The Great American Race.” While the No. 2 team celebrated, other drivers were either heartbroken or collected in wrecks that’ll prove costly to team’s due to the supply shortage of the current car. DespiteRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer NASCAR went out of their element by having the Busch Light Clash outside of Daytona International Speedway. Instead, it was located at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum that saw at least 70% percent of the crowd witnessing their first-ever NASCAR race in person. When the dust settled, music performances were held and a whole lot of action exceeded people’s expectations. While some drivers morale were crushed due to accidents or reliability issues, only one man conquered LA and that was Joey Logano. Here’s my latest photoRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer It was quadruple championship weekend at Phoenix Raceway where the three NASCAR national touring divisions and ARCA West crowned its season champion. Needless to say, all four title-deciding races ended up being unforgettable. Here’s my latest “Race in Pictures” gallery featuring all four races as Kyle Larson (Cup), Daniel Hemric (Xfinity), Ben Rhodes (Trucks) and Jesse Love (ARCA West) left Arizona as champions.Read More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer All throughout last month’s 46th Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, the main focus was towards the three-man battle for the NTT IndyCar Series championship. It wasn’t the only storyline that took place as a slew of news occurred, notably Andretti Autosport signing Romain Grosjean to drive the No. 28 DHL Honda next season. While those were significant news stories, there was one angle I wanted to focus. That angle where I needed to challenge myself and provide a different outlook to the world of openRead More
By Luis Torres, Staff Writer The NTT IndyCar Series wrapped up its 2021 campaign with 46th Annual Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last Sunday. Initially, the race was intended to be held in April but was postponed until late September, but what better race to cap off the 16-round odyssey than the sport’s biggest street circuit. When the dust settled, Andretti Autosport continued its dominance on the streets. Only this time, it was Colton Herta who owned the competition and went on to score his third win of the year.Read More
