Stewart Friesen’s No. 52 Halmar International first aligned with GMS Racing last season. Prior to the team’s alliance with GMS Racing, Friesen’s best finish was 13th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2016. After teaming with GMS, HFR’s best result was a runner-up at Eldora Speedway. Sauter entered the Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with momentum after winning the two races leading up to the season finale.
