Andretti Autosport will run the No. 25, the car number that belonged to the late Justin Wilson, with Oriol Servia behind the wheel in the IndyCar finale at Sonoma Raceway this weekend. Servia, a longtime veteran of the series and close friend of Wilson’s, drove for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing earlier this season in the Indianapolis 500, finishing 29th. Mark Miles, Hulman & Co., confirmed the news during a press conference Monday evening at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. IndyCar has released a statement on the condition of rookie Sage Karam, who was transported via ground after crashing out of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Karam was leading with 20 laps to go when the car and hit the wall on the exit of Turn 1, showering the track with debris, with a piece striking Justin Wilson’s helmet in the same accident. IndyCar has announced a further update on the condition of driver Justin Wilson following a crash on lap 180 of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Wilson is in a coma and suffered a severe head injury. He is currently undergoing evaluation at the Leigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania and is listed in critical condition. Helio Castroneves captured his 45th IndyCar pole for Sunday’s ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway and leads an all Team Penske 1-2-3. The Verizon IndyCar Series will not return to Auto Club Speedway in 2016 after a 4-year run.
