Consequently, Renault lost nine Constructors’ Championship points. With Ricciardo and Hulkenberg being stripped from sixth (eight points) and tenth-place (one point) results. The 29-year-old Mexican has been a fixture on the team for the past six seasons, with memorable performances that has brought five of his eight career podiums.
