Video: Bahrain GP Highlights

By Adam Tate, Associate Editor

Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix was the most thrilling in the desert kingdom in years as a high speed game of chess between Ferrari and Mercedes kept the winner in doubt until the final corner of the final lap.

In the end Sebastian Vettel pulled off a magnificent victory as he nursed badly worn tires to the finish after switching from a planned two stop strategy to a one stopper. Valtteri Bottas closed on him in the Mercedes, but was unable to unseat his German rival. Behind them Lewis Hamilton finished third after a strong recovery drive from ninth on the grid after a gearbox penalty.

There was plenty of drama throughout the race, from contact between Max Verstappen and Hamilton, Red Bull’s double retirement, the incredible performance of Pierre Gasly and Toro Rosso and an incredible midfield scrap, the Bahrain Grand Prix had it all.

If you missed the race, the highlights cover all the main points. If you tuned in live or recorded it on your DVR, consider this your next day refresher of all the major talking points that will have fans buzzing between now and the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend.

Enjoy.
