Mark Miles, Hulman & Co., confirmed the news during a press conference Monday evening at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Wilson was struck in the head by a piece of debris from Sage Karam’s car following Karam’s spin in Turn 1 of the Pocono Raceway. IndyCar has released a statement on the condition of rookie Sage Karam, who was transported via ground after crashing out of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. IndyCar has announced a further update on the condition of driver Justin Wilson following a crash on lap 180 of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. Wilson is in a coma and suffered a severe head injury. He is currently undergoing evaluation at the Leigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania and is listed in critical condition.
