DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After appealing NASCAR’s indefinite suspension after a protective order was put against him, Kurt Busch’s appeal has failed following a hearing with a three-member board at NASCAR headquarters. As it stands, Busch is not permitted to race in the Daytona 500. The board met with the NASCAR and Busch to hear each representative’s respective arguments Saturday afternoon, with the board ruling in favor of the sanctioning body.
