By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer  A pit road speeding penalty ultimately sealed Chase Elliott’s fate in the Can-Am 500. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver’s Championship hopes came to an end following a late wreck. On a restart with 32 laps to go, Elliott found his No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 mid-pack following a pit road speeding penalty. Like many others, he was in the middle of a hornet’s nest. Contact between Denny Hamlin’s Toyota and Kurt Busch’s Ford saw both spinning on the narrow backstretch.Read More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer An early flat right-front tire at ISM Raceway could not keep Kevin Harvick from advancing to the Championship Four. A win from another member of the ‘Big Three’ also helped the Stewart-Haas Racing driver keep his 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship bid alive following the Can-Am 500. Harvick’s No.4 Busch Light Ford Fusion was a magnet for drama throughout the 312-lap race. On the final restart, Harvick lined up alongside race leader, and winner, Kyle Busch. By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer Austin Cindric had the speed, but not the track position to advance to the Championship Four. Although the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver did lead, he was unable to lead the lap that ultimately counted. Cindric’s No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang was among the fastest cars on the long run in the Whelen Trusted to Perform 200 at ISM Raceway. On the final restart, he was deep inside the top-10. In the notoriously quick 200-Mile race, Cindric had little time to make up ground. HeRead More

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer A chance at a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship was one restart away for Grant Enfinger. Circumstances kept him out of victory lane and ultimately out of the Championship Four. On the final restart, Enfinger’s No. 98 Protect the Harvest / Curb Records Ford F-150 lined up alongside race leader, and Playoff contender, Noah Gragson. As the field dived into turn one of the reconfigured ISM Raceway, Brett Moffitt, another Playoff contender dove deep to the inside. Moffitt emerged with the lead as EnfingerRead More

In his three-race stint with Ganassi this season, Chastain won at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, earned the pole at Darlington Raceway, and finished runner-up at Richmond Raceway. By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer While he entered Texas Motor Speedway as a favorite for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship, Christopher Bell leaves in a must-win situation. The O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 was a disaster for the Playoff driver and Rookie of the Year contender. After climbing through the field once in the No. 20 GameStop NBA 2K19 Toyota Camry, Bell battled inside the top-five. He fought with fellow Playoff drivers Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier, and eventual race winner Cole Custer. On lap 133, Cindric broke loose beneath Bell inRead More
