Hertz to Sponsor William Byron, Hendrick Motorsports

Rental car company Hertz has become the latest to sponsor Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver William Byron.

Hertz joins Axalta, Liberty University, and UniFirst as primary sponsors of the No. 24 made famous by NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon. The company will also serve as a primary sponsor for the remainder of 2018 as well as the 2019 season. Hertz has previous experience in NASCAR sponsorship, adorning Team Penske’s No. 22 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Hendrick Motorsports has a proven legacy of winning in an incredibly popular and iconic sport. Hertz is also an iconic brand with a 100-year history of success delivering superior service to car rental customers. At Hertz, ‘we’re here to get you there,’ whether that’s to a NASCAR event, business meeting or vacation destination.”

The company will make its’ debut on the Hendrick Motorsports No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at this weekend’s Monster Energy Open. In addition to that, Hertz will be the primary sponsor will the Byron in four points races in both 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Currently, Byron sits 19thin the Championship Points Standings, 37-points behind the Playoff cutoff held by his teammate, Chase Elliott. He enters the Monster Energy Open with just one top-10 and 31 laps led. Meanwhile, Byron leads fellow Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, Darrell ‘Bubba’ Wallace, Jr. in the Rookie Standings by 22-points.

Now Byron and his Hendrick Motorsports team will attempt to either win a stage in the Monster Energy Open or the Fan Vote in order to advance to the Monster Energy All-Star Race on Saturday.
