NASCAR made a visit to the legendary North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina this past weekend. Despite weather being a problem throughout Saturday and Sunday, the track saw its first points-paid Cup Series race since 1996 along with the Craftsman Truck Series racing there for the fourth consecutive year.

In both races, domination was the word as Joey Logano (Cup) and Chandler Smith were the two racers who took the checkered flag in their respective races. For Smith, it marked his second straight victory at the 0.625-mile oval while Logano captured his first Cup win of the season that put him inside the top-16 points standings.

To highlight the race weekend, our photographer Will McDermitt was there to capture the moments at North Wilkesboro in the latest installment of “In Pictures.”
