Sponsorship for smaller and often underfunded teams has often decided whether some compete for a full race or ‘start and park.’ One team that can now proudly say that they have a multi-race sponsorship is Circle Sport – The Motorsports Group.
Hulu will sponsor Jeffrey Earnhardt’s No. 33 Chervolet SS in 19 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races. This begins with Sunday’s AAA 400 Drive for Austim.
The announcement comes on the heels of the announcement of Hulu’s new live TV service and premium streaming service. Subscribers of the new TV service will be able to stream this weekend’s race live on Fox Sports 1, as well as future races on major sports networks.
Patrizio Spagnoletto, Hulu’s Vice President of Subscriber Acquisition, thinks that the partnership is perfect to introduce the service to NASCAR fans,
“Hulu is driving the next generation of TV, and Jeffrey Earnhardt represents the next generation of racing, so this is the perfect partnership to bring our brand to NASCAR fans. As a proud sponsor, we’re beyond excited to work with – and cheer for – Jeffrey and the entire #33 team.”
Earnhardt is excited and proud to become the first Hulu driver,
“I was a Hulu subscriber before becoming the Hulu driver so I’m really excited to represent their brand and spread the Hulu message. Being able to watch live TV on your phone is incredible, especially during rain delays, and they have a giant library of movies, originals and shows that’s perfect for someone on the go. Hulu is the future of entertainment and with their support our future is a lot brighter. I am extremely proud to wear the Hulu green and look forward to a long term partnership and bringing NASCAR fans a service of great value with this sponsor.”
Earnhardt has 36 career starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with a best finish of 26th. He also has 66 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and 10 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series where he has one Top 10.
In 25 NASCAR K&N Pro East Series starts Earnhardt has nine top fives, 13 Top 10s, and one pole position.
Earnhardt has also competed in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona and NASCAR’s Whelen Euro Series.
Now Earnhardt will look to improve his best career finish at Dover International Speedway, one of his favorite tracks, while wearing the Hulu green.
