JGL Racing has been developing their “Young Guns” program for the past several seasons. For this program, they use their No. 24 Toyota Camry to showcase various drivers throughout the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule. One of the drivers that can now add their name to this program is Dylan Lupton.

Lupton joins Corey LaJoie, Drew Herring, Jeb Burton, and Scott Lagasse Jr. as drivers of JGL’s No. 24 Toyota Camry.

Lupton’s first race for JGL Racing will be at Richmond International Raceway on April 29 for the ToyotaCare 250. He will also take the wheel of the No. 24 Toyota Camry at Dover International Speedway on June 3, Pocono Raceway, Iowa Speedway on June 24, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and Road America.

To date, Lupton has 16 starts across all three of NASCAR’s top series. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, he has 10 starts, including a Top 10 at Mid-Ohio in 2015.

Lupton also has 32 NASCAR K&N Pro West Series starts. There, he has two victories, 13 top fives, and 26 Top 10s. Lupton’s average start in the K&N Pro West Series in 2014 was 5.7, with an average finish of 4.6. He finished second in points that season.

Lupton was excited about his opportunity with JGL Racing,

“I am very grateful for this opportunity and excited to start this venture with JGL Racing. I feel strongly that this is the right home for me and gives me the best chance to succeed. I cannot wait for Richmond and look forward to growing this program with the No. 24 team.”

JGL Racing team owner James Whitener explained that he has been watching Lupton for years,

“We are excited to add Dylan to our Young Guns program and he is someone that we have watched for the last few years and felt he was a perfect fit. His schedule will have a good mix of races which will allow him to showcase his talents in the No. 24 Toyota.”

Lupton, Whitener, and the JGL Racing team will now look to make their “Young Guns” program a success for the remainder of the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
