Mason Mitchell Motorsports adds another driver to the team for the ARCA Racing Series Music City 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. 18-year-old Ryan Repko will join the team after debuting at Madison International Speedway last year.
Repko’s only ARCA start to date came at Madison where he qualified sixth and finished eighth. His seat time also includes eight races in the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car (LMSC) division. There he has two top-fives, six top-10s, and one pole position. Repko has a best finish of fourth in the 2018 season opener at the extremely worn Tri-County Speedway. Currently he sits fifth in the CARS Tour LMSC points standings.
“I have a lot of experience with old worn out race tracks,” Repko explained. “With these high-powered cars, it will be key to not spin the tires and not to push too hard too early. I have raced at tracks with a lot of character like Hickory, Myrtle Beach, and Anderson. I think experience will help me with racing at Nashville.”
“I’ve watched the Nashville race from last year and taken notes of a few different things. I’ve never actually seen the race track in person so I’ll be starting from scratch as far as learning the race track.”
On the pit box for Repko will be veteran crew chief Mark Setzer. Setzer guided Quin Houff in the ARCA season opener at Daytona International Speedway earlier this year.
“I’ve already met Setzer multiple times and I worked with MMM last year at Madison and this year at the Daytona Test. I think this team is a great fit for me. Everyone on the team shares the same passion for racing as me.”
Repko also has 29 starts in NASCAR’s Whelen All-American Series. 20 of those came at South Boston Speedway, and nine at Motor Mile Speedway. In those 29 starts, Repko earned one victory at Motor Mile, 18 top-five, and 26 top-10 finishes.
Now Repko will hope that his experience on worn racetracks will benefit him in the Music City 200 on April 7.
