By Christopher DeHarde, Staff Writer BIRMINGHAM, Alabama– The 2019 Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama has two practice sessions in the books and quite honestly, nobody really knows what to expect for the third round of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series at Barber Motorsports Park. With a forecast changing about as rapidly as the track’s direction, it’s almost as if nobody knows where to go for the right setup, nor does anyone have any clue about the Firestone red sidewall (alternate) tires except for maybe James Hinchcliffe since he was third

Before heartbreak city in the Lone Star State unraveled, Power ran away from the competition all afternoon, leading all every lap to that point but was starting to face pressure from Alexander Rossi, who was slowly catching the pole sitter until

PETERSBURG — With only a 10 race window to maximize his opportunities, Jack Harvey put himself right in qualifying for the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg by going seventh quickest in knockout qualifying. The No. 60 SiriusXM/AutoNation Honda advanced out of the first round of qualifying with the sixth fastest time. In the second round of qualifying, Harvey tried as he might but his best lap of 1 minute, 0.9531 seconds was not enough to get him to the

Things got off to
Read More By Christopher DeHarde, Staff Writer Firestone’s extension as exclusive tire supplier to the NTT IndyCar Series through the 2025 season shows the strength of IndyCar racing with the most important part of the car settled for the next few seasons. The only component of a racing car designed to purposefully make contact with the racing surface are the tires. That’s why they are so critical to a race car’s performance. But don’t take this author’s word for it, Mario Andretti’s opinion would be the more important one. “There’s no element of
Read More By Christopher DeHarde, Staff Writer Eight months ago today, James Hinchcliffe climbed from his No. 5 Arrow Electronics Honda, dejected after failing to qualify for the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500. With crew members, photographers and television cameras nearby, the Canadian had to come to terms with what must’ve been a completely alien concept to him heading into the month of May. After all, Hinchcliffe won the pole for the 2016 Indianapolis 500 and was fifth in points following the INDYCAR Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Read More By Christopher DeHarde, Staff Writer PORTLAND, Oregon — Four drivers remain eligible for the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series championship crown but if anyone is going to beat Scott Dixon, it might take divine intervention at this point. Dixon was involved in the first lap incident that took out Marco Andretti and Ed Jones and delayed Graham Rahal and James Hinchcliffe.
