By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer CONCORD, N.C. – As the Monster Energy All-Star Race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway moved into view, another new race format, and an alternative ‘option’ tire left many questioning what would unfold. In the only practice of the weekend, Larson was fastest on both prime and option tires. Larson was also perfect in the unique-style of qualifying for All-Star race that included greenRead More

By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer After finishing fourth in the 2017 Daytona 500, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season has been leaving a lot to desire for Aric Almirola. Since Daytona, Almirola has had only one Top 15 finish as the series entered Richmond International Raceway for the Toyota Owners 400. In the first practice, Almirola placed his No. 43 Smithfield Ford Fusion a disappointing 27th on the charts. Qualifying was not much better as Almirola missed moving on to round two, ending up 25th on the grid. InRead More
By Reid Spencer. NASCAR Wire Service RICHMOND, Va. – Justin Allgaier had the best car in Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Richmond International Raceway. Kyle Larson isn’t very good at Richmond—and isn’t bashful about saying so. Nevertheless, when two late restarts played out at the .75-mile short track, Larson was the race winner in overtime, and Allgaier was a disappointed second, consoled only by the $100,000 check he collected as the winner of the XFINITY Dash 4 Cash bonus as the highest finishing series regular. “It’s aRead More
