The last time the NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Bristol Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch took the checkered flag. In fact, Busch has won four out of the last five races in the Xfinity Series this year, and has won seven out of the last 10 Xfinity Series races at Bristol in which he competed. 10 percent of Busch’s Xfinity Series wins have come at The World’s Fastest Half-Mile.
Busch will attempt to add to his impressive run this Saturday in Bristol Motor Speedways’ Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300. Tune in for the race on Fox Sports 1, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 12:30 p.m., PRN, or SiriusXM Ch. 90.
Dash 4 Cash & Heat Racing
This weekend is also the first race in the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash program. The remaining Dash 4 Cash races will take place at Richmond on April 23rd, Dover on May 14th, and Indianapolis on July 23rd. The Dash 4 Cash program is open to Xfinity Series points earning drivers.
At each of these races, the weekend will include the normal Coors Light Pole Qualifying. This will determine the 40 starting cars for the race. After this, cars starting in the odd-numbered positions will be sorts into one heat race, and the even-numbered positions into the other heat race. The finishing order in both heats will determine the final starting grid for the race.
The front row will have the winners of both heats, with the driver who had the fastest qualifying time having lane choice. Teams will not be able to go to a back-up car in the event of a crash in the heat race.
The top two Xfinity points earning drivers from both heats will make up the field for the Dash 4 Cash participants. The highest finisher of those four in the Main event, wins the Dash 4 Cash and the $100,000 bonus. Two Dash 4 Cash wins by a single Xfinity points earning driver is an automatic Chase berth (without race win bonus points).
