The health of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series continues to look better as Young’s Motorsports partners with Team Dillon for the 2018 season. Young’s Motorsports will field a second, full-time entry in addition to Austin Hill’s No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado.
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Austin and Ty Dillon, along with Xfinity Series’ Daniel Hemric, and Team Dillon’s development driver Tanner Thorson will pilot the No. 20 GoShare Chevrolet Silverado for a combined 17 races. Austin Dillon will compete in for the team in Saturday’s Active Pest Control 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
“In partnership with Team Dillon, we have put together an exciting schedule for 2018,” said team principal, Tyler Young. “The venture will feature both Austin and Ty Dillon, as well as Daniel Hemric and Team Dillon development driver, Tanner Thorson, in the No. 20 GoShare Chevrolet Silverado for a total of 17 races.”
Austin Dillon will return to the No. 20 at Kansas Speedway in May. Ty Dillon will also drive two races for the team with Hemric driving one. Thorson will drive the other 12 races for the team.

In a combined 125 races, the Dillon brothers have 10 victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, with older brother Austin having seven to Ty’s three. They also have a combined 44 top-fives, 83 top-10s, and 18 pole positions with Austin once again edging out Ty in all categories. Meanwhile Hemric is still looking for his first victory, having 15 top-fives and 30 top-10s in 49 starts.

Thorson, the 2016 USAC National Midget Champion has three starts in ARCA Racing Series competition. He scored a top-10 finish at Madison International Speedway last year with Venturini Motorsports. The Minden, Nev. native also has two starts and two top-five finishes in the CARS Tour Super Late Model division.
Thorson will continue to compete in the King of the West Sprint Car Series as well as select midget races with Dooling Hayward Motorsports / Richard Childress Racing.
“I had the pleasure to meet Tanner at our shop last spring,” said Young. “He’s an accomplished dirt racer and has impressed me with his eagerness to learn more about truck racing and our program. My family and I are dedicated to creating an environment to develop the talents of young drivers and are excited to have Tanner join us this season.”
