In an announcement that came earlier today, Esteban Gutierrez will debut for Ferrari during Formula One’s in-season test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya the week following the Spanish Grand Prix. The Mexican was signed by Ferrari as a reserve driver for this season after a three year stint at Sauber, two in race seat. Nico Rosberg claimed victory in the Spanish Grand Prix at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, his first of 2015, beating teammate Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel after starting from pole. Rosberg jumped out to a comfortable lead at the start and was never seriously challenged for the top spot. Hamilton had a more eventful race. Recent announcements have confirmed that Formula One will return to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya until 2019 after organizers agreed to a contract extension with Bernie Ecclestone. Nico Rosberg took his first pole of the 2015 Formula One season after beating Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton by .3s in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. Rosberg had been out-qualified by championship leader Hamilton in every round this season, but on Saturday the German looked stellar, topping FP3 and then taking the pole in the final few minutes in qualifying. Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has been reprimanded by the stewards for entering the pitlane incorrectly in FP1 of the Spanish Grand Prix. In the final hour of FP1, Rosberg was attempting to enter the pits when he ran across the white line beyond the bollard on entry to the pitlane.
