By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer Despite having no prior experience on dirt, Noah Gragson scored a Top 10 finish at Eldora Speedway. Gragson scored a seventh-place finish after staying out of trouble in his No. 18 Switch Toyota Tundra. With no experience on a slick dirt surface, Gragson focused on keeping his nose clean in the Eldora Dirt Derby. By doing so, he ran towards the front all night long, slowly climbing up through the field in the final laps. Several times throughout the race, Gragson narrowly avoided trouble. TheRead More
By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer 11 races into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season only four series regulars have scored a victory (Christopher Bell three times, John Hunter Nemechek twice, Johnny Sauter and Kaz Grala once). Even though Bell has two more wins than Sauter, Sauter leads the points standings, having a 28-point advantage over Bell. The Truck Series regulars will have their hands full once again in Wednesday night’s race with many dirt specialists entered in the field. The last time the Truck Series visited the only dirtRead More
By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer  After failing to finish the last two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races, Kurt Busch bounces back with a Top 10 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Busch finished eighth in the No. 41 Haas Automation / Monster Energy Ford Fusion after running up front for much of the race. Busch excelled on the sticky PJ1 compound that NASCAR officials sprayed on the lower and upper lines in the corner throughout the weekend. Aside from pit strategy near the end of Stage 1, Busch spent theRead More
By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer  The Overton’s 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway was a relatively quiet race for most of the 2017 Sunoco Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contenders in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. All five of the ROTY contenders have had experience at the 1.058-mile track nicknamed ‘The Magic Mile.’ Daniel Suarez was not only the best rookie at the Magic Mile, but tied his career best sixth-place finish. Suarez had a relatively quiet day in his No. 19 Arris High-Speed Modems Toyota Camry. Suarez most notablyRead More

Kennedy finished the Overton’s 200 in sixth, his No. 2 Richmond / Menards Chevrolet Camaro the last car on the lead lap. Kennedy had an up and down day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, running as low as 19th after a rain delay in Stage 1 split strategies throughout the field. Like others, he brought his car down pit road to the attention of hisRead More
By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer In his first of just two scheduled NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Ryan Preece finishes second in the Overton’s 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Preece impressed in both qualifying and the race, starting up front and finishing up front. In fact, he was one of only six to finish on the lead lap. Preece ran up front all day long in the No. 20 Mohawk Northeast Toyota Camry. He even challenging his teammate, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular Kyle Busch, as well as CupRead More
By Seth Eggert, NASCAR Writer For the second week in a row, Kyle Larson will start last in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. Despite having the fastest time in qualifying for the Overton’s 301, Larson’s No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS failed post-qualifying technical inspection due to an illegal rear deck fin. As a result, NASCAR officials disallowed his 28.568 second lap at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The penalty hands the pole position to Martin Truex, Jr., who coincidentally gained the points lead after Larson’s second place finish atRead More

Schrader expressed interest in the race in an interview, and a phone call later, he had a ride in the No. 66 Chevrolet Silverado for Bolen Motorsports. In the four previous NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series starts at the lone dirt track on the schedule, Schrader has a best finish of fourth in 2014. He has never finished outside the Top 15. Schrader also has the distinctionRead More
