Michael McDowell (34) came in hot and ran into Paul Menard (21), sending him into a spin in Turn 11.
Menard would get his car back going, but wound up a dismal 22nd. McDowell finished 25th.
Matt Tifft (36) used his bumper on Parker Kligerman (96) in Turn 11, creating a compelling battle at the back of the field.
Martin Truex, Jr. would lead 59 of 90 laps in the Toyota/Save Mart 350.

Martin Truex, Jr. became the first driver since Jeff Gordon to win consecutive races at Sonoma Raceway. It’s also Truex’s third win at Sonoma.
