By: Reid Spencer, NASCAR Wire Service RICHMOND, Va. – In a long green-flag run fraught with spellbinding tension, Christopher Bell held off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Noah Gragson to win Friday night’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway. Bell spoiled Gragson’s prospects for a victory in his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut, passing his teammate for the lead on Lap 172 of 250 and staying in front—if only just barely—the rest of the way. Bell crossed the finish line .423 seconds ahead of Gragson, after the driver of the No. 18 Toyota gotRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer  Typically, a driver is not competing for a victory in their NASCAR Xfinity Series debut. No one told Noah Gragson that however. Gragson, a regular in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ran up front throughout the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway. During the final green flag run of the race, Gragson’s No. 18 Switch Toyota Camry was the fastest car on the track. As the laps clicked off, he reeled in his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell. Gragson searched around the track, tryingRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer In a race devoid of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Austin Cindric scored his first career top-10 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The ToyotaCare 250 was relatively quiet for the Team Penske driver. Cindric’s No. 22 Fitzgerald Glider Kits Ford Mustang was well inside the top-10 on the final restart of the 250-lap race at Richmond Raceway. With about 50 laps to go, he broke into the top-five. For the remainder of the race, Cindric bounced between the fifth and seventh positions. By theRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer Another Xfinity Dash 4 Cash race means another chance at $100,000 for Justin Allgaier.  The JR Motorsports driver took home the Dash 4 Cash prize at Richmond Raceway last year. The team makes up half of the Dash 4 Cash competitors in the ToyotaCare 250 as Allgaier is joined by Elliott Sadler in the four-driver race within a race. Allgaier has 14 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the 0.75-mile short track. He has three top fives and six top-10s. Three of those top-10s have comeRead More

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer BRISTOL, Tenn. – NASCAR has reversed its decision on removing Daniel Hemric from the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash at Richmond Raceway. Following the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300, NASCAR announced that Hemric’s No. 21 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro SS had failed post-race technical inspection due to mechanical measurements. The reversal makes Hemric eligible for the Dash 4 Cash and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brandon Jones ineligible. The right rear toe was out of alignment on Hemric’s car. However, per the NASCAR Xfinity Series rulebook,Read More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer BRISTOL, Tenn. – In racing, sometimes you have to take a gamble as Brandon Jones and his team did. Jones fought hard trying to score his first-career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway, but it was not meant to be. On the final restart, Jones restarted on the outside in the No. 19 Menards / Turtle Wax Toyota Camry. His crew chief, Chris Gabehart elected to put on just left-side tires, leaving the 127-lap old right-side tiresRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer BRISTOL, Tenn. – It was a hard-fought battle for a top-five finish for Spencer Gallagher. The second year NASCAR Xfinity Series driver ran hard and was out of breath post-race. On the final restart, Gallagher was running seventh in his No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Camaro SS. After Brandon Jones’ used tires forced him backwards, holding up the outside line. Gallagher made quick work of Tyler Reddick before battling with Jones. The duo went back and forth for the fifth position until the caution finallyRead More

On the final restart, Sadler’s No. 1 Armour Chili Chevrolet Camaro SS was just outside the top-five. In the chaotic scramble to the finish, he found himself in fourth when the caution and checkered flags waved. It was just another piece of the crazyRead More
