By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer The 2018 ARCA Racing Series season has been a tough one for Gus Dean. The Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 at Salem Speedway was no different for Dean. A scary pit road incident early in the race left the Bluffton, SC native rallying to finish inside the top-10. In the final 40-lap run to the finish, Dean restarted just outside the top-10. After the pit stops, his No. 32 GREE Cooling Products / Baker Distributing Chevrolet SS climbed through the field. Dean slowly picked up positionsRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer For the second week in a row, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver that wins the first two stages does not make the trip to victory lane. Joey Logano swept the first two stages, appearing to be the dominant car in the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway. In a hectic run to the finish, Logano restarted just inside the top-10 in the second Overtime of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season. His No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion was caught in a three-wideRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer In a surprising move, Jamie McMurray took a swipe at Kyle Larson, his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, under caution. Despite the on-track disagreement, Larson still managed to finish inside the top-10 in the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway. With just over 30 laps to go, contact between Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, and McMurray resulted in a chaotic chain of events. McMurray’s No. 1 McDonald’s Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 ended up with a soft left rear tire, while Newman’s No. 31 Chevrolet had a punctured radiator.Read More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer  Typically, a driver is not competing for a victory in their NASCAR Xfinity Series debut. No one told Noah Gragson that however. Gragson, a regular in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ran up front throughout the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway. During the final green flag run of the race, Gragson’s No. 18 Switch Toyota Camry was the fastest car on the track. As the laps clicked off, he reeled in his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell. Gragson searched around the track, tryingRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer In a race devoid of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Austin Cindric scored his first career top-10 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The ToyotaCare 250 was relatively quiet for the Team Penske driver. Cindric’s No. 22 Fitzgerald Glider Kits Ford Mustang was well inside the top-10 on the final restart of the 250-lap race at Richmond Raceway. With about 50 laps to go, he broke into the top-five. For the remainder of the race, Cindric bounced between the fifth and seventh positions. By theRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer Another Xfinity Dash 4 Cash race means another chance at $100,000 for Justin Allgaier.  The JR Motorsports driver took home the Dash 4 Cash prize at Richmond Raceway last year. The team makes up half of the Dash 4 Cash competitors in the ToyotaCare 250 as Allgaier is joined by Elliott Sadler in the four-driver race within a race. Allgaier has 14 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the 0.75-mile short track. He has three top fives and six top-10s. Three of those top-10s have comeRead More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer Another driver will join the ranks of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers as Timothy Peters will attempt his debut at Talladega Superspeedway. Peters will drive the No. 92 Advance Auto Parts Ford Fusion for Ricky Benton Racing in the GEICO 500 at the 2.66-mile Tri-Oval. Peters is no stranger to restrictor plate racing. The Danville, VA native has back-to-back NASCAR Camping World Truck Series wins at Talladega in 2014 and 2015. He also won the Truck Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway in 2010.Read More
By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer It’s the eighth race of the season and only one full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series regular has scored a victory. The Xfinity Series returns to Richmond Raceway for the ToyotaCare 250. The Xfinity Dash 4 Cash, zero Cup drivers, and stage racing are just some of the storylines heading into the eighth race of the season. Coverage for the ToyotaCare 250 is scheduled to start Friday night at 7:00 p.m. ET. Richmond Raceway has hosted the eighth race of the season since the 2014 season. InRead More

By Seth Eggert, Staff Writer Age is just another number to NASCAR Hall of Fame Nominee Hershel McGriff. He will compete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West double-header at Tucson Speedway in Arizona on May 5. McGriff was also recognized as one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers. McGriff will once again drive the No. 04 he has piloted throughout much of his storied career that began in in 1950.
